Can I download music?
Section titled “Can I download music?”No. TocaToca is a streaming service. Recordings are played directly in your browser and are not stored on your device.
Why does an artist link open a list of recordings?
Section titled “Why does an artist link open a list of recordings?”Artist links are designed to get you to the music as quickly as possible. Instead of opening a technical information page, TocaToca displays all available recordings associated with that artist, orchestra, singer, or contributor.
Where do I sign in?
Section titled “Where do I sign in?”Sign in at auth.tocatoca.com.
After a successful login, you will be automatically redirected to the TocaToca player at play.tocatoca.com.
Can I save favorites?
Section titled “Can I save favorites?”Yes. You can mark individual recordings as favorites so that you can quickly find them again later.
Simply click or tap the heart icon.
Can I create my own playlists?
Section titled “Can I create my own playlists?”Yes. Playlists allow you to create and manage your own collections of recordings.
How do I add recordings to a playlist?
Section titled “How do I add recordings to a playlist?”First, select one or more recordings.
Additional action icons will appear at the top of the list. Depending on your device, these icons may be displayed with or without text labels.

Then choose the option to add the selected recordings to a playlist.
Can I add multiple recordings to a playlist at the same time?
Section titled “Can I add multiple recordings to a playlist at the same time?”Yes.
You can either:
- select all recordings in the current list
- or select individual recordings manually
All selected recordings can then be added to a playlist in a single step.
Can I add recordings to multiple playlists at the same time?
Section titled “Can I add recordings to multiple playlists at the same time?”Yes.
After selecting the recordings, you can choose multiple playlists. The selected recordings will then be added to all chosen playlists.
Why do some titles appear multiple times?
Section titled “Why do some titles appear multiple times?”Many tangos were recorded by different orchestras, different singers, or in different years.
TocaToca aims to document these historical recordings as completely as possible. As a result, multiple versions of the same title may appear in the catalog.
What is the difference between an orchestra and a singer?
Section titled “What is the difference between an orchestra and a singer?”In tango music, orchestras and singers are independent artists.
A singer may have recorded with several orchestras, and an orchestra may have worked with many different singers.
Using artist links allows you to explore both paths and discover related recordings.
