Understanding Artist Links
In TocaToca, artist links are designed to get you to the music as quickly as possible. Instead of opening a technical information page, clicking an artist link immediately displays a list of related recordings.
What Happens When You Click?
Section titled “What Happens When You Click?”When you click on an artist name, TocaToca displays all available recordings associated with that person or ensemble.
This may include:
- a singer
- an orchestra
- an instrumentalist
- a composer
- a lyricist
- another contributor
The selected name becomes an active filter. All recordings associated with that artist are displayed.
Orchestras and other contributors also lead to related recording lists, making it easy to discover additional music from the same artistic circle.
Why Is There No Detail Page?
Section titled “Why Is There No Detail Page?”TocaToca was designed for listening to and discovering music.
Instead of showing a technical information page, TocaToca takes you directly to recordings that can be played immediately.
Ideal for Exploration
Section titled “Ideal for Exploration”Artist links are especially useful when exploring connections within tango history.
With just a few clicks, you can discover:
- additional recordings by the same singer
- other titles performed by an orchestra
- recordings featuring the same musicians
- related artists and ensembles
A single recording often becomes the starting point for an entire musical journey of discovery.
